Getting to and from the SOAS venues
Walking
Route between the Vernon Square and Russel Square SOAS venues.

You can walk to both SOAS venues from the following stations: Russell Square, Euston, Euston Square, King’s Cross St Pancras, Warren Street, and Goodge Street stations.
By Tube (Underground)
The SOAS venue for the classes is closest to Kings Cross station on the Piccadilly, Metropolitan, Northern, Circle Hammersmith & City Lines and mainline rail services.
The SOAS venue for the concerts is closest to Russell Square station on the Piccadilly Line.
By Train and Tube (Underground)
Paddington Station
Take the Hammersmith & City or Circle Lines to King’s Cross St Pancras. You can walk from King’s Cross St Pancras (or take the Piccadilly Line one stop to the Russell Square concert venue).
Euston Station
Take the Victoria Line to King’s Cross St Pancras. You can walk from King’s Cross St Pancras (or take the Piccadilly Line one stop to the Russell Square concert venue).
London Victoria Station
Take the Victoria Line to Green Park station and take the Piccadilly Line to Kings Cross station for the main Vernon Square venue or to Russell Square station for the concert venue.
London Bridge
Take the Northern Line to King’s Cross St Pancras. You can walk from King’s Cross St Pancras (or take the Piccadilly Line one stop to the Russell Square concert venue).
By Bus
International buses will arrive at London’s main coach station near London Victoria station. From there take the Victoria Line to Green Park and take the Picadilly Line to Kings Cross station for the main Vernon Square venue or to Russell Square station for the concert venue.
By Air
Heathow Airport
Take the Piccadilly line directly from the airport to Kings Cross station for the main Vernon Square venue or to Russell Square station for the concert venue.
Gatwick Airport, Luton, London City Airport, Stansted Airport
Follow the directions below to Dinwiddy House. You can walk from King’s Cross St Pancras (or take the Piccadilly Line one stop to the Russell Square concert venue).
Getting To and From Dinwiddy House and Paul Robeson House
Dinwiddy House is the recommended accommodation for the Summer School. An alternative is Paul Robeson House just a few minutes walk from Dinwiddy House.

By Train and Tube (Underground)
There are trains from around England to King’s Cross and St Pancras stations, such as East Midlands Trains, First Capital Connect, Southeastern Railways. Eurostar from Paris, Brussels and other cities arrive at St Pancras station.

For trains arriving at other stations in London:
- From Paddington Station take the Hammersmith & City or Circle Lines to King’s Cross St Pancras.

- From London Bridge take the Northern Line to King’s Cross St Pancras.

By Bus
International buses arrive at London’s main coach station near London Victoria station. From there take the Victoria Line to King’s Cross St Pancras station.
Local buses: 205, 214, 30, 476, 73 stop near Dinwiddy House. The closest stop is Penton Rise.
By Air
London has five airports.
There are many low budget flights to these airports from all over Europe.
Heathrow Airport
The easiest and cheapest way to get to Dinwiddy House from Heathrow airport is to take the Piccadilly Line directly to King’s Cross St Pancras station.
An alternative is to take the Heathrow Express to Paddington Station and then the Underground to King’s Cross St Pancras. This may be a more comfortable option but is more expensive.
Gatwick Airport
The easiest and cheapest way to get from Gatwick airport is to take a First Capital Connect train directly to St Pancras International Station, from where you can walk to Dinwiddy House. As the final destination can vary, ask at the information desk for the next train to St Pancras.
An alternative route is to take the Gatwick Express to London Victoria Station and then the Victoria Line to King’s Cross St Pancras station. However, this is more expensive and is not much faster.
London City Airport
Docklands Light Railway (DLR) trains run frequently and connect with the Circle and Northern Lines, which will take you to King’s Cross St Pancras station. More information.
Luton Airport
The easiest way to get to Dinwiddy House from Luton Airport is to take an East Midlands or First Capital Connect train from Luton Airport Parkway Station to King’s Cross St Pancras station. There are shuttle buses available from Luton Airport to Luton Airport Parkway Station. More information.
Stansted Airport
Take the Stansted Express to London Liverpool Street station. If you fly on RyanAir or EasyJet, it is cheaper to buy the ticket for the Stansted Express on board the plane. From London Liverpool Street station take the Hammersmith & City, Circle or Metropolitan Lines to King’s Cross St Pancras station.
